利比亚法庭押后了对卡扎菲之子赛义夫及其他几个利比亚前任官员的审讯,庭审将延期到6月22日。
The Libyan Tribunal in Tripoli has adjourned the trial of Saif al-Islam, the son of former President Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, and several other former officials.
The proceedings were adjourned until June 22nd following a request by the prosecution. Gaddafi’s second son faces charges from war crimes to corruption. The defendants also include former Intelligence Chief Abdullah Senussi and former Prime Minister Baghdadi Mahmoudi. They all face charges of systematic rape, advocating violence and undermining national unity during the 2011 protests that toppled Gaddafi’s government.
Saif al-Islam is now wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during those protests. Last week, the ICC again demanded again his transfer to The Hague.
