泰国陆军总司令帕拉育宣布自己为代理总理
泰国军队发动政变解散看守政府后第二天,泰国陆军总司令帕拉育宣布自己为代理总理。
The military junta chief Prayuth Chan-ocha has declared himself acting Prime Minister of Thailand. This comes a day after the military launched a coup and dissolved the country’s caretaker government.
The Bangkok Post says that an announcement was made by the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council that stated that Prayuth would act as acting prime minister for administrative purposes until someone could be found to serve the post full time. The ruling military summoned members of the politically influential Shinawatra family to a meeting this morning.
Prayuth declared a military takeover on Thursday, saying that it was aimed at preventing the current conflict from further escalating. The military also imposed a curfew across the country from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. Thursday’s takeover was Thailand’s second coup in eight years.
