Palestinian ambassador in Prague dies in explosion
The Palestinian ambassador to the Czech Republic Jamal al-Jamal has died from injuries sustained in an explosion at his residence in Prague. Local police say Ambassador Jamal al-Jamal’s family were also in the two-storey building but were not hurt.
A Palestinian official in Ramallah said the ambassador had recently moved into the house. It’s not yet known what caused the explosion. But the Palestinian Foreign Ministry says the blast took place as the ambassador was moving an old safe box. The Foreign Ministry says it will send a delegation to Prague to help with the investigation.
