After 13 years, China is once again the host for the APEC meetings. This morning the Ministry of Commerce held a press conference, and its official announced that this year’s APEC trade ministers' meeting will be held in Qingdao city in the eastern province of Shandong on the 17th and 18th of May.
This will be APEC's first ministerial level meeting this year. At the press conference, officials laid out China's priorities.
Assiatant Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen said: "This year’s meeting will aim to push forward regional economic integration, promote innovative development, economic reform and growth, and also strengthen comprehensive connectivity and infrastructure development among APEC economies."
