A man who had been stuck on a mountain ledge for nearly three days was saved after a two-hour rescue by firefighters in Machangping town, Fuquan city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on March 6. The man was very feeble after going without food and water since being stuck there, and was sent to a hospital. His family said he went to the mountain on Tuesday morning but didn't return, so on Wednesday they reported his disappearance to police. Why he ended up on the hillside is still unknown.
