Former US president Herbert Hoover's office from when he worked in China is now on display for the first time ever at the Kailuan Museum in Tangshan, Hebei province, on February 20, 2014. The museum has restored Hoover's office from his days when he worked as the general manager of the Kaiping Mines (now known as the Kailuan Coal Mine, located in Hebei province). Porcelain from the Qing Dynasty collected by the former US president, along with 150 original photos depicting the history of the coal mine and other materials are now available for public viewing. The Kailuan Museum was built in 2008 and features more than 20,000 items which depict the significant history of the famous Kailuan Coal Mine.[Photo/Xinhua]
