Friday marks the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month. Lantern Festival is a time for people to get together to watch lantern shows.
In Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, thousands of visitors have arrived to get a glimpse of lanterns made of recycled materials. This lantern show has been held for more than ten years, and has become the first choice for locals to celebrate the festival.

Meanwhile Wuyuan county in Jiangxi province is holding a massive display of "dragon stool lanterns". The longer the dragon, the more the blessings. Lantern Festival like any other traditional holiday, wouldn’t be complete without a tasty treat to go with it.
As this year’s Lantern Festival coincides with Valentine’s Day, tangyuan, and yuanxiao, with a rose petal jam and chocolate filling, have become very popular treats among lovers.
