Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday sent a condolence message to Joseph Kabila, his counterpart in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), over the landslide which killed at least 200 people, Xinhua reported.
In his message, Xi mourned the victims and expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and those affected by the disaster on behalf of the Chinese government and people.
The deadly landslide occurred on Thursday in three villages of Ituri province, in the northeastern part of the DRC, after heavy rain struck the area.
