Forest police and workers at the China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center successfully rescued a panda who fell into the water at a hydro-power station in Gengda Township, Sichuan province on Nov. 1. The panda was released back into nature at around 9 p.m.
中国保护大熊猫研究中心的森林警察和工作人员成功援救了一只大熊猫，它于11月1日在四川省耿达镇的一个水电站落水。大熊猫于晚间9点左右被放回了大自然。
According to He Mingwu, chief of the Wolong Forest Public Security Bureau, police officers and hydro power station employees saw the panda climbing along a steel fence about 4 meters below the top of the dam at 4:40 p.m.
据卧龙森林公安局局长何明武介绍，下午4点40分，民警和水电站工作人员发现这只大熊猫正在大坝下的钢板护栏上，距离坝顶约4米左右。
The panda fell into the water after the first rescue attempt by police and workers failed. As it began to get dark and the panda became anxious, police decided to shoot the animal with a tranquilizer. Around 7 p.m., one hour after the panda was tranquilized, police pulled the panda ashore. An examination revealed that the 4-year-old female was in good health. She was released back into nature after regaining consciousness.
在民警和工作人员首次援助尝试失败后，大熊猫落入了水中。眼见天气渐暗，且大熊猫情绪不稳，民警决定使用麻醉枪。当晚7点左右，在使用麻醉枪一个小时后，民警将大熊猫救上了岸。检查显示4岁的磁性大熊猫并无大碍。在苏醒后，她就被放回了大自然。
It is assumed that the panda fell into the water accidentally while trying to cross the hydro power station.
人们猜想，大熊猫是在试图越过水电站的时候意外落入了水中。
