A zoo in Northwest China has denied mistreatment of the panda after photos of the wounded animal sparked public accusations of abuse.
受伤熊猫的照片发出后，引发了公众对中国西北的一个动物园虐待动物的指控，动物园予以否认。
Lanzhou Zoo explained that the panda Shulan had been treated by veterinarians after suffering a small cut from a piece of bamboo.
兰州动物园解释说，熊猫蜀兰被一块竹子刺伤留下了小伤口，不过已经得到了兽医的治疗。
The health of Shulan raised concerns on Sina Weibo after uploaded images showed what appears to be bloodstained fur on her back.
网友上传照片后，蜀兰的健康在新浪微博上引发了关注，她的背上似乎是血迹斑斑的皮毛。
Lei Qinghai, head of Lanzhou Zoo, said the discoloration on Shulan’s fur is medicine applied to treat the wound.
兰州动物园主任雷青海说，蜀兰皮毛的变色是治疗伤口的药物导致的。
"The red spot looks large because the medicine spread around as the panda moved," Lei told Beijing Youth Daily. "From far away, people may get the impression that the wound is large." Shulan’s cut has since healed, he added.
“红色的斑点看起来很大是因为药物随着熊猫的移动扩散到周围的皮毛，”雷告诉《北京青年报》。“从远处看，人们可能觉得伤口很大。”蜀兰的伤口已经愈合，他补充说。
The State Forestry Administration announced on Weibo it will look into the case, and urged the zoo to better manage the panda’s health.
国家林业局在微博上宣布将对此进行调查，并敦促动物园更好地管理熊猫的健康。
This is not the first time the Lanzhou Zoo has been accused of abusing pandas. In 2015, netizens raised concerns after photos surfaced of another panda, Lanzai, appearing “dirty” and “lethargic.”
这不是兰州动物园第一次被指控虐待熊猫。2015年，另一只熊猫兰仔的照片出现“肮脏”和“萎靡”的情况后，引发了网友的关注。
