湖南中部堤坝决口 2.1万多人被疏散

湖南中部一10米长堤坝决口，2.1万多人被疏散。目前为止，尚无伤亡人员报道。

More than 21,000 people have been evacuated in Central Hunan province after a 10-meter long breach opened up in a dike.

No casualties have been reported so far. The breach took place in a flood detention basin in Huarong County at about 11:00 a.m. Sunday. Local authorities began evacuating residents one hour later, with the help of 2,000 armed forces.

The breach has currently extended to 30 meters long, though rescuers are racing against time to reinforce the dike. The flood detention basin covers 4,400 hectares and is home to more than 27,000 people.
