18世纪时统治中国男子同样也对中国建筑充满热情，证据就在波兰一个世界闻名的公园——波兰瓦津基公园里。瓦津基公园被很多中国人称为肖邦公园，,因为在这里矗立着一尊由瓦茨瓦夫·施曼诺夫斯基设计的肖邦雕塑。
The man who ruled Poland in the 18th century also had a passion for Chinese architecture. And the evidence of this is inside a world-famous park in Poland, the Park Lazienkowski, or, the Royal Baths Park, which many Chinese people know as 'the Park of Chopin', because of the statue of the great composer that's in it. But what is less known about the park in Warsaw is its ancient connection to China. A 'China Avenue' was built in the 18th century as a symbol of bilateral ties between the two countries back then.
This picturesque and blossoming garden is Warsaw's widely renowned Royal Baths Park.
Back in the 18th century, the last ruler of the country, King Stanisław August Poniatowski named the Avenue linking Warsaw's royal palace to a temporary royal palace in the suburb, 'China Avenue', because of his enthusiasm for Chinese culture.
The lover of Chinese architecture even built two Chinese-style bridges and a wooden Chinese pavillian.
Though the 'China Avenue' hasn't been completely preserved as the years have gone by, the section inside the Royal Baths Park has withstood the test of time.
In 2011, a 'China Garden' has also been rebuilt there.
"The design, materials and architects all came from Beijing. The China Garden was built within 3 months without any obstacles. Since its opening in August 2014, a lot of Polish residents have come here to rest and study Chinese style architecture. Many architecture majors from Warsaw University frequently come here to learn about the design and stucture of Chinese buildings," said Tian Qing, director 'China Garden' construction project.
"The Chinese President is visiting Poland, and we decorated the road with red lanterns and colorful lights. Our Chinese guests will like it here better and we also want to show journalists around the world that Chinese culture is well preserved here in Poland," said Tadeusz Zielniewicz, director Lazienkowski museum.
Chinese President Xi Jinping started his visit to Poland on Sunday, and the Royal Baths Park will be one of his stops.
