As the capital of China, Beijing is one of the hottest spot for tourists, especially during public holidays. Among all its attractions, the Palace Museum is one that most tourists do not miss.
Over 80,000 tickets were sold out by noon on the first day of the three-day May Day holiday. That is the cap the Museum has in place to ensure adequate services for all visitors.
To cope with the rising number of tourists, 32 additional ticket windows have been opened, ensuring that everyone can buy a ticket within 15 minutes. The Museum also offers online booking of tickets. And it has taken measures to stop scalpers from reselling tickets at unreasonable prices.
