Lavrov made the statement after a trilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani and Iranian counterparts in Baku. Lavrov said the meeting focused on coordination of security in the region and the fight against drug trafficking. Meanwhile, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said his country would help ensure Azerbaijan and Armenia keep their communication channels open to resolve the dispute. Medvedev is in the Armenian capital Yerevan to discuss the conflict. He will leave for Azerbaijan on Friday.
