The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and TV released a policy on Wednesday, saying that films of "general subjects" no longer need to have their scripts vetted by the institution.
国家新闻出版广电总局在本周三颁布新政，称“一般题材电影”将不再进行剧本审查。
一般题材电影(films of general subjects)是相对于特殊题材(significant subjects)而言的，影片主要人物和情节除涉及民族、宗教、军事、外交、公安、司法、历史事件等方面内容(ethnic groups, religion, military, diplomacy, police, the judicial system or historic events)以外的电影都属于“一般题材”。
一般题材的电影只需在网站上公示电影的梗概(publicize a synopsis)以取得电影拍摄许可证(get a license to shoot / obtain a shooting license)，但在影院公映(theatrical release)之前仍需经过国家新闻出版广电总局(The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and TV)的后期电影审查。
